How Dave Develops

"Don't Be Evil"

Is Google's commandment.

Mine isn't yet as concise.

But here it is...

Apps must...

Give instant gratification and

Convey a sense of purpose, yet

Be deep.

We serve

Designers

Programmers

Writers

Starter apps

In 1984 the Mac could never have made it without MacWrite and MacPaint.

Gave developers something to emulate.

Helped form the coral reef.

Where's the catch?

My goal is to deliver an outline-based writing, design and coding platform, and have there be no catch.

No hidden business model. Nothing I have to prove other than you can do all this at the same time.

I may want to sell something, but you will always have choice to buy or not. Or buy from someone else.

Thanks for laying it out there, Dave. The catch is no-catch. I like that.

I also dig the presentation thing, via reveal.js. MORE redux, feels like.

I second Jeff Bundy's comment - the reveal.js version of this outline is very cool! I am going to take a closer look at this presentation tool.

I had a problem when I started to leave a comment on this page, ended up writing a bug report on another page.

Wow! Just Wow! Just saw the "presentation" mode of this. Very impressive. And after just a short few weeks as a student of WorldOutline (and a previous writer using Radio Userland) I now realize a palpable difference when OPML is running vs. when it is not. (Huge difference! for me) Dave, thanks for sharing so transparently, so regularly.

I love to share what I do Dody, and thanks for the thanks.

I also like being appreciated. Good motivation.

Also, this outline can be viewed as a presentation thanks to reveal.js.

As a programmer, I really appreciate all the ideas, code, format, documentation and data that you have developed over the years. I am working to make a small contribution to the ecosystem and I am often amazed how much energy you have poured it to make it a reality. Thank you for the generousity.
