He's right. The connection between threads and my Scripting News feed is a little temporary glue to connect the old world feed with the flow from the new world. When I did it, I did it quickly, because I was juggling a lot of stuff and didn't want anything to break.
I gave it a little thought and realized I could easily broaden the pipe to allow full thread posts to go into the Scripting News feed.
This post is a test, to see if that works. :-)
It's good to think of this in terms of pipes, esp for software like this, where there are little pools, and bathtubs and sinks and water fountains spread all over the place, and you have to move the ideas fluidly between all of them. Sometimes you forget something, and then every pipe has to get the feature, and then you realize how many there are. There are many! :-)
This is what I'm good at. Holding all that pipery in my head and forgetting the complexity and just working on one small bit of plumbing at a time.
Stan Krute who has been reading my blog a long time always comes along and notes when there's new plumbing. I wonder where he is. Been expecting a checkin from him.
Thanks for broadening the pipe. I always knew it was just a series of tubes! :)
